Putin Welcomes 17th Congress of Russian Communists
Moscow, May 27, 2017: (Prensa Latina) President Vladimir Putin has welcomed the 17th Congress of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (PCFR), held today with the attendance of 340 delegates and foreign guests.
The official letter made by the Russian leader was read in the main political forum of the Russian communists in this capital, amid the preparation of celebrations for the centenary of the Great October Socialist Revolution.
Referring to Putin’s greeting, the CPRF Secretary-General Guennadi Ziuganov has said that his organization is ready to a constructive dialogue with all branches of power in order to contribute to the strengthening of the nation.

Ziuganov explained that in the last four years 60,000 new members joined such an organization, following the CPRF and Komsol youth organization cards delivery ceremony.
This ceremony was attended by 10,000 members recorded in recent months, following a call for the centenary of the Great October Socialist Revolution, he said.
In addition, a group of CPRF veterans were given a medal for the centenary of the socialist revolution, and a Lenin prize-giving ceremony was also held.

After the solemn session, Ziuganov read the PCFRÂ´s CCÂ´s report for the 17th congress of this organization.
The Russian Communists are preparing a series of activities to celebrate the triumph of the revolution led by Vladimir Ilyich Lenin.
